Why balayage grows out differently
Unlike a single all-over colour, balayage is placed freehand through selected lengths. The transition at the root is deliberately soft, so the result has dimension rather than a hard line as your hair grows.
- Placement follows your haircut, natural movement and preferred level of contrast.
- Natural brown, caramel and blonde tones can be kept subtle; blue, purple, ash and opal can be built more boldly.
- Highlights, ombré and previous colour can be assessed as part of a correction or change of technique.

A good result starts with an honest look at your current base, colour history and the finish you want. Some transformations take more than one lightening session; protecting the condition of the hair comes before forcing a shade in one visit.

Fidella Novania trained and obtained her professional licence at Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver, Canada. During her training, she received the school’s Highest Practical Achievement Award.
